Many of our Chinese users use Shadowsocks to browse YouTube. But when you try to download a video, the program gives an error ( Connection timed out {1996} ) because it cannot connect to YouTube's servers.
To make it work, you need to enable the Global mode and make the following settings in the program.

Open the settings dialog and go to the Network tab. Then, choose a proxy server depending on how you configured Shadowsocks.

Usually, it's HTTP 127.0.0.1 port 10809 or SOCKS5 127.0.0.1 port 10808
